Old Strathcona Ghost Walks - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Nights from October 5-29

Learn about the spooky side of Old Strathcona with a guided tour through Old Strathcona! Join an experienced storyteller for true stories from residents and business owners. Lasting for about an hour and a half, the tour will take you to buildings, houses, and shops as you learn the about some of the mysteries in Edmonton’s histories.

DedFest - October 20-25

Celebrating their 8th year, Dedfest is Western Canada’s premiere horror, cult and sci-fi film fest. Join them at the Garneau Theatre for a diverse range of films including Green Room starring Patrick Stewart, The Invitation from the director Karyn Kusama of Jennifer's Body, Bite, the seasonal anthology Tales of Halloween, and many more.

School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - October 24

On Saturday October 24, the University of Alberta is hosting a fun family-friendly event. Mix science and magic for a Harry Potter-themed day of science activities perfect for kids aged 7-12 (everyone is welcome to attend). Organized by Let’s Talk Science, classes will include Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, and more!
