Festival Style with Adventures in Fashion
Saturday July 04 , 2015
Music festival season is in full swing, which means there's no shortage of denim cut offs, floral crowns and crop tops floating around town. Romantic, bohemian-style silhouettes, sensory materials like lace and fringe, and amazing accessories are all on the docket this summer, so throw on your favourite kimono and let's get to shopping!
Whyte Ave. has a plethora of options to appease the festival savvy, but my go-tos to get the look are always Noul and Workhall. To my mind, these two cover all the bases in terms of clothing, footwear and accessories, so when in doubt, start there. And if all the selection at hand gets overwhelming, here's a handy checklist of what to look for:
1. Lace separates
2. Fringe detailing
4. Denim cut offs
5. Tribal print trousers
6. Crop tops
7. Slip dresses
8. Floppy hats
9. Delicate gold jewelry
10. Ankle boots (especially Chelsea boots)
