Lyndsey Forest, Over My Styled Body

Ever since I was a little girl I loved playing dress up. Even now, being a so called “adult” I still love playing in my wardrobe; mixing, matching, and DIY’ing. This blog will give you a daily dose of my style…what i’ll be wearing through the good times and even the bad. I hope you enjoy and follow me through my adventures in fashion!

Spring Essentials in Old Strathcona

Saturday May 16 , 2015

With spring finally making it’s big debut in Edmonton, it’s time to ditch the parka and dust off your shorts and dresses.

Every spring season, I like to do a little refresh on my wardrobe and pick up some fun new trends and re-invest in those key essentials. And what better place to do that than to explore YEG, get some fresh air, and shop till you drop in Old Strathcona!

This spring is all about the white’s and pretty pastels. White is one of my favourite colours to wear, especially with a tan, so it’s nice to see that it’s making a big statement this spring. I found some amazing white’s and pastels from the boutique, Noul. It was hard to turn down the white and lace shirt dress.

One of my favourite things about spring is saying goodbye to my Sorel boots and hello to my high heels! And although I love a great stiletto, I am actually really excited to invest in a great pair of sneakers. The sneaker has made such a big comeback over the years and Foosh always has the latest and greatest. This spring it’s all about the bright colours and textures like leather and snakeskin.

With spring time comes a lot of fun events, concerts and of course; weddings. So you know you have to have a great dress on hand for whatever fun adventures spring will bring! Bamboo Ballroom is always one of my go-to spots in Old Strathcona and this time of year they have an amazing dress selection. Again, it was hard to resist not buying the whole lot of them!

Happy shopping and have fun picking out your spring essentials in Old Strathcona!
