Bonding on Whyte Avenue for Mother's Day

Wednesday May 21 , 2014

Edmonton blogger Janis Galloway of Dress Me Dearly, stopped to chat with some of the families who celebrated a sunny Mother’s Day in Old Strathcona:

City and Dale writer Gillian Thomson, spent the day with her mom Adele at the Royal Bison Arts and Craft Fair perusing the unique array of locally produced goods.

Tami, T.J. and mom Linda spent the day strolling along Whyte Avenue taking in all the sights, sounds and tastes starting with lunch at Famoso (with tequila shots!), coffee at Second Cup, a stop to listen to a busking fiddler and finally, dessert!

“We like Old Strathcona for the people watching, and just the overall feeling of the area.”

Natasha, Tim and their two children also spent the day walking down Whyte Ave, checking out the books at Wee Book Inn and then dinner at La Shish Taouk

“Old Strathcona is great place for walking with our kids.”
