The Whyte Avenue Art Walk Introduces NEW Location for 2019
Tuesday June 18 , 2019
The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is back, and better than ever! We invite you to take a 4 kilometre walk through the hearts and minds of artists. Cultural explorers are invited to watch the creative process first hand in Old Strathcona from July 5-7! Over 500 visual artists will be creating in the streets. See something that catches your fancy? Support a local artist and take it home! Art Walk is a showcase of Alberta's hidden talent and provides an opportunity for patrons to curate their own art collection from many (as yet) undiscovered masters.
When: July 5 - 7, 2019
Time: 10 am – 5 pm daily
Where: The event is a grand promenade along Whyte Avenue (82 Avenue) from 101 Street to 108 Street. New this year, tents will line 81st Avenue between 104 street and 105 street. It's a long tour, so bring your walking shoes!
This year's festival is relocating to accomodate an extra busy festival weekend. Over the July 5-7 weekend, Old Strathcona will also be hosting Found Festival, Boardwalk Sand on Whyte, and the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival. Find out where everything is happening, parking, road closures, transit info and more here: edmonton.ca/FestivalsOnTheAvenue
Don't forget that Rachel Notley is hosting a street party Pancake Breakfast as well, on Saturday, July 6th. Please note the location change from McIntyre Park to 81 Avenue & 104 Street beside The Pint
